I configured my Plex server for folding last night and this is what I woke up to - lots of blinking and flashing. After a reboot I got what you see in the second image. One more reboot and things were back to normal.
i don't know if F@H was directly responsible, but given the so-so performance of the GPU in that machine I think I'll just forget about using that computer for this task...

Last time I had a video card do stuff like that it had straight up died, it was a late-2000s Geforce series card, have no idea what the model number was anymore. Maybe it was heat related? My PC locked up a few times after I did my GPU upgrade because my CPU was running so damn hot (before I swapped the cooler) , but I didn’t get any of the visual artifacts that you’re getting.

Something doesn’t seem right here...can’t put my finger on exactly what.

It’s my 4K TV, and when I switch to a different input or device it’s just fine.

It’s the GPU. Try cleaning out the box with some canned air to clear the cooling vents. If that doesn't help, then your card is dead. This is mostly why I run F@H at middle settings.
